How Does A Borehole Work?
A borehole taps into aquifers, which are underground stores of water created by rainfall and evaporation in permeable geological matter. A waterproof seal at the top of the borehole closes the drill hole to the pipe and thus prevents any potentially polluted surface water from entering the borehole and contaminating the supply.
